When Everything Fell Apart
In 2012, I hit a point in my life I never expected to reach.  Depression had crept in so quietly that by the time I realised how far I’d fallen, I felt like I was living at the bottom of a dark well with no rope to climb out, no one to help.
My thoughts were harsh, degrading, and relentless.  They told me I wasn’t capable of anything beyond “normal.”  They told me to stay small. They told me not to dream. They told me that no one liked me and that even my family and children would be better off without me.
And for a while, I believed them. And in 2012 I did something about it.  But when that didn’t work, that rock bottom had a strange way of becoming a turning point.
At that point, something inside me whispered, There has to be another way.  That whisper became the beginning of my healing.
The Moment Everything Shifted
My first step wasn’t glamorous. It wasn’t a grand spiritual awakening. It was simply choosing to try something different.
I reached out for help in the form of a personal development class. Â I started learning about my subconscious mind, emotional patterns, and the stories I carried without realising it.
And slowly, I began to understand something lifechanging:
If I could change my thoughts, if I could release the stories, I could change my life.
That idea cracked something open in me.  It gave me hope, direction, and a sense of agency I hadn’t felt in years.
As my thoughts shifted, my perspective shifted.
As my perspective shifted, my actions shifted.
And as my actions shifted, my entire life began to transform.
The Healing Path That Found Me
At this time, I had just completed my Kinesiology Diploma, but I didn’t know how life would unfold.  How stepping into my uniqueness and my personal power, would eventually lead to me running my business full time and studying other modalities. I began to see clients struggling with similar demons and I drew from my experience and studies. I wrote my first book, Empowered Happiness which is essentially my healing journey and includes tools and techniques I used. I expanded into running meditation classes, I studied other modalities like Hypnotherapy, mBraining, HeartMath and further Kinesiology modalities.  And I started to create.
The more I learned about the subconscious mind, the more fascinated I became.
The more I healed my own patterns, the more I wanted to help others heal theirs.
The more I stepped into my purpose, the more my purpose expanded.
Today, I help people uncover the subconscious challenges that keep them stuck – the same kinds of patterns that once kept me stuck.
I do this through kinesiology, hypnotherapy, meditation, and my IllumiLiminals™ programs, which blends energy, consciousness, and practical transformation.
My purpose wasn’t something I found in a single moment. It was something I grew into, one insight at a time.
Since then, I have also travelled down the path of burnout, breast cancer and anxiety. The initial healing journey I took, helped me navigate these challenges with trust.
What I Learned About Purpose
If there’s one thing my journey taught me, it’s this:
Purpose isn’t discovered in the mind. It’s revealed through experience.
It shows up when you’re honest with yourself.  It shows up when you’re willing to look at the patterns you’ve outgrown.  It shows up when you stop trying to be who you think you “should” be and start becoming who you actually are.
Purpose isn’t a job title.  It’s not a single path. It’s a relationship – one that deepens as you do.
And the beautiful thing is:
I know my purpose will continue to evolve.   I trust the unfolding of it.  And I trust the next chapter even if I can’t see it yet.
Over the years since then I have become a creative.
I created the world’s first Kinesiology Cards.
I created a Magical Moments Journal.
I created an I AM Colouring Book.
And I released my most recent book – The Chakra Connection. Which is designed to help individuals uncover their sabotaging patterns using the chakras as pillars in their life.  Again, this book is filled with tools and techniques to help.
If You’re Searching for Your Purpose
If you feel lost, stuck, or unsure of who you’re meant to be, I want you to know this:
You’re not broken.
You’re not behind.
You’re not failing.
You’re simply in the part of the story where the old version of you is dissolving and the new version hasn’t fully arrived yet.
That space is uncomfortable – but it’s also sacred.  It’s where purpose begins.
A Question for You
If you gently quietened the noise of who you think you should be… what truth about your purpose might finally have room to speak?
